We visited Ramon's Village Resort in February
2002. This resort is situated amidst a string
of pearl droplet islands that surrounds the eastern coast of of the
tiny nation of Belize in the Western Caribbean. The largest barrier
reef in the Northern Hemisphere is only one-half mile from the front
door.
We went to sleep caressed by the soft gentle trade
winds rustling among the palm leaves of huge coconut trees and awoke to the pulsating
roar of waves crashing against the reef.
The
marine life on our dives in Belize was fantastic. We had a
great crew that showed us a huge grouper and a lot of nurse sharks.
Most of our diving was drift diving in clear water - great
visibility.
